I love creating memories from old clothes.
These were made for a woman who has two grown children, a boy and girl, and she saved all their clothing from the time they were babies.
This is the man's quilt. It is made from saved clothing from a terrific mother. When I first saw all the striped shirts, I didn't know how it would work together, buy as you can see, it came out great.
I also incorporated a picture of each of the children into the quilts.
I enjoyed making these quilts.
This measures 56x72. It is perfect for the end of a bed. It has 100% cotton batting and muslin for the backing. I quilted it in the ditch, as the clothes are the main focus for this type of quilt.
If I can do something like this for you, contact me. I do all kinds of custom orders, from pillows to quilts.
The girl's memory quilt has everything in it from her baby blanket, to diaper pants, to dresses.
The mother gave me a box with 88 pieces of the girl's clothing. Each piece must be prepared for sewing, because each piece is different. This quilt has everyting from a blanket to a bib cloth. I think this is one of the most fun quilts I have done so far.
This will be an heirloom for them to hand down for years to come.
I have used batting in the middle and 100% cotton muslin for the backing. It is quilted in the ditch, because in this case I feel like the clothes are the main focus, not the quilting.
It measures 51 x 60 inches. Perfect for folding at the foot of the bed as a showpiece.
If I can do something like this for you I would love to, just e-mail me.
Prices will vary depending on size, design and clothes. Contact me for info.
Photo's can be incorporated, for an additional charge. Original pictures will be returned unharmed.

"Robin, I can't even begin to tell you how much I love the quilts.
I have just looked and looked at them.… Now I just want to keep them for myself.… But I guess I will be ice and give them to the kids.… Can't wait to see their faces when they open them and see what all is on them.…
Thanks again soooo much!"
